welcome to our house.
our values make space for magic.
1. all are welcome
We welcome all identities, backgrounds and walks of life. Some of our events are 21+, others are all ages. Some of our events require proof of vaccination, others are outdoors and open to all. Check your local event invite details to see what’s up! We do our best to book accessible venues and provide support for bodies of all abilities to move with us. If you have any questions about accessibility, please send us an email at dance@bodylvnguage.com.
2. bring your everything
DO YOU BOO! Come as you are. Bring your all. Make noise. Dance weird. As long as you’re respecting all other bodies around you, your wildest expression is WELCOME.
3. get all the way here
No drinks on the dance floor + no phones anywhere is your opportunity to drop the distraction + GET ALL THE WAY HERE.
We host photographers at about half of our events so you can forget about capturing the moment. The other half are totally photo-free.
4. love + respect rule the day
Treat everyone better than your family. Respect each other’s personal space, expression + vibe. Others have different boundaries and desires than we do. Stay aware of our personal boundaries and take responsibility for owning them pay attention so we don’t accidentally punch someone in the face when the bass drops.
5. feel yourself
Sexy is what happens when we feel safe enough to breathe, move and feel our bodies freely. We are sex + pleasure positive, and celebrate everyone’s personal expression. If you see someone on the dance floor feelin themselves, please note that ain’t an invitation to grind up on them! Want to dance with someone? GET F*CK YES CONSENT FIRST.
6. safety first
This is a place where it’s totally normal + awesome for folks to check in with each other before making physical contact and/or stepping up levels of physical contact. It’s the perfect place to practice being bold in asking for what you want + celebrating each other’s real desires + boundaries.
Please check for enthusiastic consent before moving into someone’s personal space. This can mean mirroring someone’s dance moves while far away, asking before dancing in close proximity, and asking again (!) before using your hands to move in closer.
A simple verbal check-in is a great wat to make someone feel respected, safe and special. Try asking a question they can say F*CK YES to, like “Can I dance with you?” or “Can I put my hands on your hips?” If you get a no, say THANK YOU! That sh*t takes courage. Then give yourself a high five for humxning responsibly + creating a world where we take care of each other.

"Tasha’s sets are richly varied. Rooted in house music and invariably uptempo and uplifting, they include everything from garage, R&B, soul, gqom, hip-hop, pop, techno and plenty more. Ritualistically rhythmic and inclusive, they invoke a time when it was not just acceptable, but expected that a DJ should take risks." - Data Transmission

"Tasha is the driving force behind Powerhouse DJ School: a leadership academy building a new breed of DJ. Rather than simply focusing on the technical aspects of the craft, PhDJ teaches artistry, creative discipline, ritual, the body-mind connection, event production, and everything else emerging DJs need to ignite the kind of dance culture we didn’t know we needed." - 6am Group
